    Development of computational thinking skills and collaborative learning in initial education students through educational activities supported by ICT resources and programmable educational robots

    The purpose of this paper is to present the PhD thesis research plan, which aims to design, integrate and evaluate educational activities mediated by ICT resources and programmable educational robots, in initial education students, obtaining collaborative learning and Training of computational thinking skills. The research will be developed through a mixed methodology, with the intention of being able to carry out a more complete analysis and evaluation of the subject, obtaining data from different sources (teachers, students and coordinators of educational level). Various instruments such as interviews, questionnaires and participant type observation will be used, focusing on teachers and students. In addition, a rubric will be used to evaluate students' performance in the development of learning activities, through the sequential programming of educational robots. The results that will be obtained with this research will allow to carry out a proposal of technological educational action of great quality, based on the benefits and limitations of the integration of ICT resources and programmable Robots, contributing in a significant way to the implementation of new approaches for the Teaching-learning curriculum content from an early age and empowering participants in the development of computational thinking skills and collaborative learning

    Collaborative work with wikis. Analysis of some innovative educational centers

    The wiki tool, incorporated in the Moodle platform, is able to provide us with a learning environment which is strongly linked to social-construction approaches, facilitating the development of collaborative work projects on-line. Wikis are tools where the exchange of ideas and the collaborative workflow are important factors for development with university students. This case study analyses and evaluates essential aspects for the successful deployment of a wiki in a higher education proposal. The proposal of work by projects, has been oriented to students of the first university course, in order to analyze the characteristics of the educational centers of the 21st century, within a collaborative working environment through the use of the Wiki tool. Our results suggest that a wiki can promote effective collaborative learning, confidence in self-training and peer evaluation, facilitating rapid feedback, intuitive navigation and task performance.

    Development of computational thinking and collaborative learning in kindergarten using programmable educational robots: a teacher training experience

    Nowadays, the teaching-learning processes are constantly changing, one of the latest modifications promises to strengthen the development of digital skills and thinking in the participants, from an early age. In this sense, the present article shows the advances of a study oriented to the formation of programming abilities, computational thinking and collaborative learning in an initial education context. As part of the study it was initially proposed to conduct a training day for teachers who will participate in the experimental phase of the research, considering this human resource as a link of great importance to achieve maximum use of students in the development of curricular themes of the level, using ICT resources and programmable educational robots. The criterion and the positive acceptance expressed by the teaching group after the evaluation applied at the end of the session, constitute a good starting point for the development of the following activities that make up the research in progress.
