Abstract
For this special issue, we have clustered the selected eleven papers (out of the fifty-seven received
contributions) around five active learning experiences: project-based learning (PBL), flip classroom,
collaborative and cooperative work, active learning in pre-college and graduate courses, and faculty
development on active learning.
